Its always a pleasure taking pictures at a family wedding, but obviously not being the main photographer :) you just never get to enjoy the wedding as much as everyone else.

Wayne (my cousin) called me up to ask if I could take some pictures at his wedding in Harding, he married Joddi Ann and together they have a lovely little daughter named Cassidy, a true joy! I agreed to take a few pictures for them which obviously I would not charge for... yes yes, I have my moments. Below are a few pictures of their wedding.

Luvuyo and Sekiwe got married at Dans Country Lodge a few kilometres out of Mthatha, a lovely scenic venue for weddings and functions in general. For more info on the place, visit http://www.danscountrylodge.co.za/

Mr & Mrs Nontenja | 22 December 2012

Every wedding is different & unique, the Nontenja wedding started 6 hours late, which was the time I was meant to leave because they had only booked me for 6 hours. Fortunately for many bridal couples I hate leaving without without covering atleast a part of their wedding even though my booking agreement is quite strict about time.

Having never been a bride, I wouldn't like my photographer to leave as soon as I arrive & that's the type of service I give all my clients, the type of service I'd like to receive from my wedding photographer one day.

Even though the wedding had started 6 hours late, I stayed and covered the church ceremony & took a few pictures of the family & the bridal couple. It was a memorable wedding & it definitely taught me a lot about being a wedding photographer.

Mario & Kim's Wedding | 15 December 2012

I had so much fun with Kim and Mario the day I did the engagement photoshoot that I knew their wedding would be just as much fun. As I mentioned in my previous blog about Kim, I've known the family since I can remember & it didn't feel like work when I was taking pictures, I felt right at home.

Even though it was a rainy day, both families made sure that the weather wouldn't dampen the mood. Everything was perfect and with a beautiful bride and dashing groom nothing could ruin this day for the couple. It was an absolute pleasure capturing Kim & Mario's special day...
